Haris ud Din is a civil servant and a Commonwealth Scholar in Global Health. He holds a Master's degree in Global Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Climate Change. His work focuses on public administration, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, evidence-based policymaking, and the intersection of climate change and public health.
Pakistan’s demand for climate justice remains valid, but climate responsibility must also begin at home. This editorial argues that weak governance, poor planning, environmental neglect, and institutional failure are making the country more vulnerable and that domestic reform is essential to credible climate action.
Climate change is not a distant environmental problem. It is a mirror reflecting how we produce, consume, and live.
